Lookman set to join Atletico Madrid from Atalanta: salary and transfer fee revealed

Multiple reports in Italy claim that Ademola Lookman has reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid and is ready to undergo medical tests with the Colchoneros.

Nigeria international Lookman is set to join Atletico Madrid from Atalanta.

Several Italian sources, including Fabrizio Romano and Repubblica, claim that the Atalanta star has reached an agreement with the La Liga side.

According to Repubblica, Lookman will sign a four-year deal worth €7m per season.

The Colchoneros eventually convinced the striker despite an offer from Fenerbahce.

Both Romano and Repubblica report that Atletico will pay €40m to sign the 28-year-old. According to Romano, it’s a €35m deal plus €5m add-ons.

Lookman has not been called up for today’s Serie A match between Como and Atalanta and will travel to Madrid in the coming hours to undergo medical tests.

The Nigeria international will go down as an Atalanta legend, not only because of his 55 goals in 137 games, but especially for his hat-trick in the 2024 Europa League Final against Bayer Leverkusen, which gave La Dea their first major European trophy.
