Juventus move closer to En-Nesyri: Details revealed

Reports from various outlets in Italy claim that Juventus are in contact with Fenerbahce and are moving closer to a deal for Morocco international Youssef En-Nesyri rather than for Crystal Palace’s Jean-Phillipe Mateta. Here is what has been reported on the potential deal so far.

According to reports from the likes of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sky Sport Italia, Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano, Juventus are in talks with Fenerbahce and are heading towards a deal for striker En-Nesyri, who has 27 league goals to his name from 49 appearances since signing from Sevilla in 2024.

En-Nesyri was a regular starter for Fenerbahce last term, netting 20 league goals in his first season in Turkey, but has not been afforded the same volume of opportunities following the arrival of Jhon Duran in the summer.

For this reason, Fenerbahce are willing to sanction En-Nesyri’s departure in January, and according to various reports on Sunday, this could be in the form of a loan deal with an option or potential obligation to buy.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus will likely have to cover En-Nesyri’s salary in full for the remainder of the season. He reportedly earns around €8m per season, which means a cost of around €4m between now and the end of the 2025-26 campaign.

An exact price tag for En-Nesyri has not been specified in Tuesday’s updates, however, according to reports from Fabrizio Romano last week, Premier League side Everton were prepared to offer Fenerbahce a loan deal with an option to buy in the region of €20m for the 28-year-old.

Quick take: Big picture: the update fits broader trends across the league with schedule pressure and tight tables. Supporters will watch for clarity from training ground reports and official briefings. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
