Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare welcomes competition with Solomon Agbasi

Benjamin Asare delivered a composed and mature response amid the growing competition for the number one jersey at Hearts of Oak, showing class and respect for teammate Solomon Agbasi following Fridays goalless draw with Dreams FC at the University of Ghana Stadium.

The Phobians and the Still Believe lads played out an entertaining stalemate, with both sides creating chances but failing to find the decisive touch. Hearts of Oak dominated large spells of the first half, controlling possession and dictating the tempo, while Dreams FC came strongly after the break and finished the contest on the front foot.

Asare proved decisive on the night, producing a string of fine saves to keep Hearts in the game, particularly in the second half when Dreams FC applied sustained pressure. His assured performance earned him the Man of the Match award and further strengthened his claim amid intense competition at the club and growing attention ahead of the Black Stars World Cup ambitions.

Speaking after the match, the Hearts shot-stopper welcomed the rivalry in goal, stressing that competition only helps the team grow.
