Fiorentina are edging closer to completing a deal for Leeds United winger Jack Harrison as talks progress towards a positive conclusion.
Despite reports suggesting imminent travel, there has been no movement in the last 24 to 36 hours and no journey has been scheduled.
According to Alfredo Pedulla, that has not slowed negotiations, however, with Fiorentina continuing to work behind the scenes to finalise the agreement for the 29-year-old winger, who is expected to leave Leeds United before the window closes.
The Viola are pushing for a straightforward loan deal, a formula that would allow them to reinforce their attacking options without an immediate financial outlay.
A potential option to buy is also being discussed, but the priority remains closing the operation on terms that suit Fiorentina’s current strategy.
Crucially, Harrison is fully on board with the move. The winger has given his total approval to the transfer and an agreement has already been reached with his representatives, removing one of the main obstacles from the process.
From the player’s point of view, the opportunity to experience Serie A and play a key role in Florence is seen as an attractive next step.
