
FIFA President Gianni Infantino says he is eagerly looking forward to discovering Ghanas group-stage opponents at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars, four-time African champions, sealed their qualification for the global showpiece on Sunday night with a 1-0 victory over Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium. The win confirmed Ghanas place at the tournament, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
In a congratulatory video message, Infantino lauded the Black Stars for securing their fifth World Cup appearance.
Ghana topped Group I with 25 points to book their ticket to next years competition.
After exiting at the group stage of the 2022 edition in Qatar, Otto Addos men will aim for a stronger performance at the 2026 tournament.
The West African nation has previously featured at the 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2022 World Cups.
