Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Björkegren has urged his players to approach the 2026 Womenâs Africa Cup of Nations with humility, warning against any hint of complacency despite Ghanaâs recent progress.Ghana have been placed in Group D alongside Mali, Cameroon and Cape Verde for the tournament, which will take place in Morocco later this year. The Black Queens finished third at the previous edition, but Björkegren believes past success offers no guarantees and insists the team must stay grounded."We also need to respect that there are other teams that are thinking the same way," he told the Ghana FA Media."There are probably six, seven, eight teams that can win the gold. We're not alone."The Swedish coach stressed that his side will give their all in the competition while acknowledging the strength of the field."We're going to do everything we can, and hopefully it's going to be enough," he added.Under the WAFCON format, the top two teams from each group advance to the quarter-finals, with the four semi-finalists securing qualification for the FIFA Womenâs World Cup.
