Dutch Police arrested 180 Napoli fans who had violated a security zone in Eindhoven city centre last night.
According to ANSA and other Italian media, the group of Partenopei supporters was even expelled from the Netherlands, and their tickets for this evening’s Champions League match against PSV were cancelled.
Italian authorities will receive the details from the Dutch police.
According to reports, the Napoli fans were not involved in any clash or incident, but they were arrested and expelled from the country to avoid just this.
According to ANSA, the Dutch Police described the Napoli fans as a ‘large group’ with a ‘certain atmosphere’. The group reportedly ignored the requests to leave the city centre, so they were arrested for violating municipal regulations on gatherings.
They were taken by bus to the Mathildelaan Police station, where it emerged that some of them didn’t even have tickets for this evening’s game.
